My Design Journey

About me

I studied Graphic Design in Lyon, France, before moving to Dublin, Ireland.

My professional journey began in hospitality, working as a waitress, before transitioning into roles at Barclays Bank as a part-time fraud specialist and part-time graphic designer. After several years there, I joined One Family, an Irish charity supporting lone parents, where I worked as a web and course designer for an international association specialising in education for lone parents.

In 2019, I joined the SaaS company uTrack in Dublin, which develops digital products for the public transport industry. The company was later acquired by the Estonian company Ridango.

Graphic Design with UI experience

My role combined both in-house and client-focused design work, creating a wide range of digital and print materials for uTrack.

I also collaborated on the UI design of uTrack’s app, Unity, a platform developed for bus drivers and transport operators.

In addition, I managed the company’s blog visuals, producing illustrations, graphics, and social media content to support articles and online campaigns.

Web & course design

I worked closely with a team of teachers and educators on projects supporting lone parents. My role involved designing and developing two main websites that hosted ongoing educational courses and resources.

I also created illustrations, course materials, and graphics for social media and digital learning content.

In addition, I managed the project’s print design needs, producing posters, magazine advertisements, brochures, and other promotional materials.

How I approach projects

h

Project research

I begin by developing a clear understanding of the goals, audience, and key messaging. This helps define the overall direction and scope of the project.

l

Initial Design Concepts

I develop initial design drafts and layouts for review, allowing the client or team to provide valuable feedback and ensure the project aligns with the vision and brand identity.

Design Refinement

Using feedback, I refine the design, making adjustments to content presentation, layout, and visual elements to achieve the best possible outcome.

Final Delivery

Before final delivery or print, I carry out quality checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and professional presentation throughout the project.
